Alzheimers - 3 and 4            each measures approx 66x55 cms
My mother suffered from Alzheimers and I worry that I may develop it. The left silhouette depicts a conversation with a sufferer, it goes round and round. The right silhoutte depicts the brain cells, some with spirals in them that represent the inability of sufferers to manage their memories. The machine quilting is of the brain neurones that fail to meet up as the condition worsens. The quilting makes the piece look like the much folded brain surface.
